Summary

Adults need picture books, too! A stunning, full-color debut gift book from renowned artist Amber Fossey (@zeppelinmoon), whose whimsical illustrations and clever witticisms reveal the universal struggle and happy magic of being a perfectly imperfect human being。

Do you hear the beasts scratching at the door? They’ve been sleeping too long, and now they’re getting feisty。

Through a mash-up of poetry, comic fiction and watercolor illustrations, this beautiful picture book for adults weaves a narrative of how we can all become wild and free again。 Looking at life through the eyes of Sloth, Bear, Koala, and even Blob Fish, these animals tell the stories of the raw beauty of life on our planet, encouraging us to let go of fear, stick our fingers/paws up at societal pressure, and love ourselves and one another with abandon。

Three-word review: I've been a Fossey fan for a long time, and this book is a new permanent fixture in my go-to collection。 Equal parts cheeky and touching, it is both laugh-out-loud funny and pulls at the heartstrings within just moments of each other。 Every single page is a nugget of wisdom that reminds me to slow down, look around, be grateful, laugh, feel, love, and find the small moments in a world that can often feel too big, scary, and overwhelming。 Three-word review: I've been a Fossey fan for a long time, and this book is a new permanent fixture in my go-to collection。 Equal parts cheeky and touching, it is both laugh-out-loud funny and pulls at the heartstrings within just moments of each other。 Every single page is a nugget of wisdom that reminds me to slow down, look around, be grateful, laugh, feel, love, and find the small moments in a world that can often feel too big, scary, and overwhelming。 。。。more

If I could convince President Biden and Congress to include a copy of this for each household in the relief package, I would。

So there’s a sloth, a bear, a koala, and a blob fish all woven with lovely, encouraging, and uplifting words for when life gets too, you know, “lifey”。 This heartwarming picture book for grownups is perfect for a cozy snuggle up with a hot beverage when you just need a break from the world。 Read from beginning to end or just find a page that speaks to you in the moment and reflect。 You’re going to want two copies of this one。 One for yourself and one to share with a friend。

Who says picture books can't be for adults? This is such a beautiful book that I pick up over and over, and something new reveals itself in the quirky drawings and simple but profound words, time and time again。 Brilliant, funny and deep observations of animals and ourselves, a delight to read! Oh my gosh! I don't know when I've enjoyed a book more! I sat and read through it 3 times getting more out of it each time。 Every page of "Be Wild Be Free" touched my heart in one way or another。 It can be read in a matter of minutes, but in those moments of reading, my emotions were all over the place。 One page would cause me to laugh aloud, the next would bring tears to my eyes。 The reading of Fossey's beautiful, humorous, entertaining verse and art result in introspection and contemplation。 S Oh my gosh! This beautiful picture book for adults depicts the daily struggles we all encounter at some time, how it’s ok to just be yourself, how we all view the world differently and that’s ok and how everyone has a place and a value。 Wonderful illustrations that should be framed。

My favourite book I’ve read all year- I smiled, I teared up and I felt deep emotions。 Have decided I just buy another copy of this book as I found myself tagging so many pages with post its as I want to cut out and frame so many of the pages。 Just magical。
